A Summary About Trello.
Trello is a website that aims to manage and track your to-do list or any work that you have. Not just work, you can also organize your ideas, or anything that you want. Quoted from the website itself, ”Imagine a white board, filled with lists of sticky notes”. Trello is developed by Fog Creek Software. In January 2011, a prototype that hoped to solve some high-level planning issues was pitched. It’s called Trellis. Full time development begins soon after. Trello fully launched in September 2011, almost being named Cardvark or Planatee before being named Trello. In early 2017, Trello was acquired by Atlassian.

What Is The Use Of Trello?
Trello’s main objective is to ease work management. Trello can be used to improve collaboration between teams, to keep a track on pending work, and visualizes work to make it easier. With Trello you can keep track of any kind of work that you have, school, job, even your passion projects.
How Is This Relevant To Game Development?
In game development (and any group work in general), it is crucial to note down the task of each member. With Trello, you're able to track each team member’s role and task. Such as, artist and what drawing they need to make, programmer and what script they need to make, and composer and what audio they need to make. By tracking and organizing each member’s work, it’ll be easier to plan out your development and make it easier to know what task has been completed and what task hasn’t.
How Does Trello Work?
Boards
To use Trello, you need to first create what is called a “Board”. It is essentially the place where you can put your to-do list or work. For example, you can create a “School” board, which is gonna be filled with school related work. And you can create a “Hobby” board, which is gonna be filled with work related to your hobbies (In my case, Story Writing).

List & Cards
In the board, you can make a “list” and in said list, you’ll be able to create a “card”. The cards are basically the things that you need to do. And with the list, you can categorize each work so it’s organized and not messy. You can also add attachments to each card, whether it’s a link, file, image, program, and more.

Other Apps Support
With Trello, you’re able to connect your email and add a card to your inbox, after which you’re able to put in any list you want. You can also connect your Microsoft teams. It’ll make you able to save the messages in Microsoft teams and add it to your inbox. The Trello mobile app and Slack (another Atlassian app/web) can be connected to your Trello.

Power Ups
Trello have this thing called “Power Ups”. It’s basically additional features you can apply to your board. The power up you apply to a board doesn’t transfer to other boards, so it’s board specific.

Tutorial
If you ever feel lost using Trello, they have provided tutorial videos for you to watch. You can find the videos on your first created board. You can also find tutorials on youtube.
Conclusion.
Trello, in my opinion is a very useful tool to manage work. From school, hobby and more. Its UI is simple to navigate in and it have some more complex usage other than just being a “to-do list”. It can also help with tracking group/team works. Starting off may be a bit complicated, but with the tutorial that they provide us, it shows how simple Trello is to use. Trello is also convenient to use, with it having a mobile app that can synchronize with the website version. It’s simple, accessible, and a very useful tool.

Yes! It’s free to use. While there is a premium plan for it, the free version isn’t that bad overall. Plus, you get a free trial of 14 days without needing to fill out a billing information! Though you can extend the trial to 30 days by filling one
To simplify things, the free version offers enough for personal usage.
